The Exploding Universe of Ed Kuepper
Overview
Celebrating 50 years of Kuepper Klassics, 2026 marks a major milestone for legendary Australian musician Ed Kuepper. Hitting the road with The Exploding Universe (of Ed Kuepper), this full-band show brings together Mark Dawson (drums), Peter Oxley (bass), Alister Spence (keys) and Eamon Dilworth (brass), performing material from across Kuepper's remarkable career.
From The Saints' groundbreaking 1976 single (I'm) Stranded, through Laughing Clown, an ARIA award-winning solo catalogue spanning 30+ releases, and projects including The Aints and collaborations with Jim White and Asteroid Ekosystem, Kuepper has continually redefined his sound.
The tour coincides with a reissue series via Remote Control, including Today Wonder (1991) and Autocannibalism (1992), plus The Exploding Universe Live!, recorded in Melbourne in 2023.
Renowned for pushing boundaries, Kuepper's body of work remains bold, influential and entirely his own, performed live by a band described as blistering, tight and electrifying.
