Jetts Grafton Jacaranda Running Festival
Overview
Experience Grafton in full bloom at the Jetts Grafton Jacaranda Running Festival.
Held during the iconic Grafton Jacaranda Festival, the Running Festival offers visitors a unique way to experience the city at the height of its famous purple Jacaranda season.
The festival features a Half Marathon, 10 kilometre, 5 kilometre and 2 kilometre Junior Dash, catering for experienced runners, first-time participants, families and everyone in between.
The scenic courses showcase some of Grafton's most distinctive landmarks, including the Clarence River and its two major bridge crossings. Runners experience the character of the historic Grafton Bridge, opened in 1932, and the newer Balun Bindarray Bridge, which opened in 2019.
Participants can run amongst Jacaranda canopies, take in views across the Clarence River and experience Grafton and South Grafton from a different perspective. The event starts and finishes at Memorial Park, on the bank of the Clarence River.
The Running Festival is the final event on the Grafton Jacaranda Festival program, making it an ideal addition to a weekend getaway.
Whether travelling to Grafton to race or simply looking for an active way to experience the region, the Jetts Grafton Jacaranda Running Festival offers a memorable combination of running, scenery and one of NSW's most distinctive regional festivals.
