Observing the Macro and Micro with Eliza Adam
Overview
Under the guidance of exhibiting artist Eliza Adam, participants will explore macro and micro approaches to mark-making, repetition and built layers using ink, gauche, oil pastels and a mixture of other materials to create works responding to place. Working from stimulus collected from the environment, such as seeds, flowers, grasses and other natural materials to influence form and movement, attendees will create multimedia works on paper, experimenting with various materials and mark-making processes.
Eliza Adam is a Meanjin (Brisbane) based multidisciplinary artist working across painting, sculpture and textile-based processes. Her practice investigates themes of universal interconnectivity through explorations of place and time.
