Collapsing Stars perform live at Pearces Creek Hall
Overview
Collapsing Stars perform live at Pearces Creek Hall.
Hailing from Minneapolis, USA, Collapsing Stars are a 2026 Woodford Folk Festival performer and were named a Top 100 SXSW Artist by NPR Music. The Twin Cities-based band has built an international following touring throughout the American West and across global stages. Their sound blends folk, blues and Americana, woven together with rich cello and layered vocal harmonies. Often compared to Iron & Wine, Gregory Alan Isakov, Nick Drake and early Bon Iver, the group delivers an intimate yet expansive live experience.
During the pandemic, they launched the acclaimed Forest Folk Sessions web series, and their sophomore album Chapter received international critical praise, including features on NPR's All Songs Considered. Their 2026 Australian tour included a sold-out run of shows and a stop at Woodford Folk Festival.
Support on the night comes from Grace Barr, followed by Collapsing Stars.
Drinks are BYO. Tea and homemade cakes will be available for purchase, and guests are welcome to bring a picnic.
