NEXUS : A Night at the Intersection of Art, Architecture and Technology
Overview
What if making could become an experience shared by everyone?
As the Latin term for 'a binding together', NEXUS is a vision of six architecture students, Joel, Meagan, Iman, Zo, Lachlan and Steven, who are reimagining the Maitland Regional Art Gallery's workshop as an innovative Art Factory while building a personal connection to culture, history and place.
Through an immersive and forward-thinking design, the space invites guests to explore creativity, materiality and making through the lens of architecture. Visitors will be able to step inside the architects' vision through 3D models and HoloLens technology, experiencing the proposed space in an interactive and immersive way.
NEXUS offers a glimpse into how architecture can transform not only a physical space, but also the way we create and learn, providing the gallery and its community with an innovative space to connect.
