Maitland Riverlights
Tuesday 08 October 2024 to Saturday 12 October 2024
Overview
Maitland Riverlights embraces diversity through authentic culinary delights, music, dance, and interactive experiences. This week long festival honours Maitland's rich cultural diversity, culminating in the main event on Saturday when The Levee precinct transforms into a vibrant global village showcasing over 30 cultures from around the world.
During the week, there will be plenty of opportunities to expand your cultural exposure by immersing yourself in the expanded program, encompassing author talks, cultural degustation sessions, poi workshops, art and lantern-making workshops, and more.
On Saturday, make your way to The Levee Central Maitland, to see, taste, feel and experience different cultures worldwide. Visit one of the many cultural villages hosting dance workshops, cooking demonstrations, language lessons, live music, lantern making, dynamic lighting and roving entertainment. There will also be culinary treats worldwide and cooking demonstrations at the Global Kitchen for foodies at heart.
