Dungog Shakespearience - Twelfth Night

It it's 5th year, Shakespearience Australia and brings humerus and outrageous work; Twelfth Night, to the enchanting forest stages of Wangat Lodge!

The audience will be guided through the woods to discover three unique outdoor stages. The venue: eco-accommodation centre, Wangat Lodge, is a stunning 50 acre wildlife sanctuary on the Chichester River. The performance will not just be seen, but lived. This is the best and original way to experience Shakespeare!

Twelfth Night is Shakespeare's hilarious gender bending romantic comedy. Viola and her twin brother Sebastian get shipwrecked and separated in a storm. Alone and broke, Viola glues on a fake moustache, and call herself Cesario, to find work.
Her new boss, Duke Orsino is "madly in love" with Countess Olivia. He sends "Cesario" (disguised Viola) to do his flirting for him, because why do your own chores? This leads to a complex love triangle, as Olivia falls for the cross dressed Viola (Cesario); and Viola falls for Duke Orsino. Eventually the twin brother turns up, and chaos ensues.

Director Timothy Weston has over ten years experience in outdoor Shakespeare including Cambridge Shakespeare Festival. His team bring professional level Shakespeare to nature based stages.

Wangat Lodge provides a festival-like atmosphere during Dungog Shakespearience, with a foyer bar, with drinks, bar snacks and ice creams.
