The 21st Harden Kite Festival

The Harden Kite Festival returns in 2026 for its 21st year, always ready to bring a sky full of colour and a full day of family fun to the Hilltops Region.

One of the highlights of the day is the spectacular Big Kite Display, where professional kite flyers fill the sky with an array of bright colours and larger-than-life kites, including some of your favourite cartoon characters.

There's plenty to keep everyone entertained, with a wide range of free activities across the festival grounds. Get creative at the kite decorating workshops, perfect for those who don't have their own kite, or join in the fun at the kids' activity areas, live music, cultural performances, displays and petting zoo.

Wander through a variety of market stalls, enjoy delicious food and great coffee, or settle in with a picnic while taking in the lively atmosphere and laughter. For the little ones chasing a bit more excitement, all-day ride passes are available for the amusement rides.

This alcohol-free event is a relaxed and welcoming environment for families, friends and visitors alike to enjoy a great day outdoors.
