Flora and Fauna - Binalong in Bloom and Birdsong Art Exhibition

'Through vivid colour, gestural marks and fragments of language, O'Connor's birds, blooms and creatures shift between observation, imagination and expression — transforming the familiar flora and fauna of Binalong into something distinctly her own.' - Notes from the field.

Step into a vibrant celebration of the Australian bush at Flora and Fauna: Binalong in Bloom and Birdsong. Hosted at the historic Hotel Binalong, this captivating exhibition by local contemporary artist Kathryn O'Connor brings the unique ecosystem of the Yass Valley to life.

Through a dynamic blend of textured mixed-media canvases and immersive digital animations, the collection explores the delicate balance of our regional wilderness. From the defensive beauty of local daffodils to the sweeping songs of native birds, each piece invites viewers to pause and appreciate the natural wonders right outside our backdoors.

Get down to opening night on October 10th to meet the artist and enjoy all the tasty drinks and treats as well as experience a fresh, modern perspective on regional nature.
