Bowls of Presence Workshop
Overview
Bowls of Presence is the first workshop in the Good Hope Pottery Grounded in Clay series, inviting you to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and create with intention. Across this gentle, hands-on session, you'll craft two hand-built tea bowls, learning to shape, refine, and finish each form with thoughtful attention and a mindful touch.
They will guide you step-by-step through techniques that highlight the quiet beauty of texture, the rhythm of hand-building, and the simple pleasure of working slowly with clay. You'll explore how subtle marks, softened edges, and natural forms can create bowls that feel grounding to hold and beautiful to use.
Perfect for both beginners and returning makers, this workshop offers a peaceful space to connect with clay, connect with yourself, and enjoy the ease of creating something truly handmade. Your finished tea bowls will be glazed, fired, and ready to become part of your everyday rituals—simple reminders of presence, process, and the joy found in making.
Workshops are for aged 16 years and older.
