The Rutherglen Market brings together all that is seasonal, regional and beautiful about produce in North-East Victoria. Held on the second Sunday of every month the market attracts many different styles of stalls with the main focus being on seasonal produce.
Some tips for attending the Rutherglen Farmers' Market:
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own bag, basket or esky and to minimise waste.
Bring a sense of adventure. A farmer's market is the ideal place to try something that might not normally be on the shopping list.
Ask a question. Take the opportunity to talk to the person who grew or produced the product. You might even pick up some great recipe ideas.
The market changes with the seasons, buy fresh produce at its best.
Support the Lions Club. The Rutherglen Lions Club have been fueling up visitors with magnificent egg and bacon rolls from the very first market. Be sure to try one when you next visit.
Pure joy as you wake to the sunrise. Awe as you make it to the snowy peak. A sense of adventure as you motor across red plains. The relief of rejuvenation as you wade into an alpine stream. Connection as you taste native, fragrant leaves. A sense of belonging as you return to your favourite holiday house. Freedom as you dash into the waves. Discover the endless feelings a visit to NSW can inspire.
