The High Country Rail Trail is set to be the location of High Country Victoria's latest marathon event yet!

For what will be a winning event on the Victorian running calendar, Towong Shire Council in collaboration with Mathieu Dore Coaching have been working with an excitement bordering on fever pitch, to produce an event hosted on an incredible route spanning between the Koetong Pub and Pelican Park on the foreshore of Lake Hume, Tallangatta.

How fast can you go? Set in spectacular scenery, a downhill gradient for the first 20km, provides an opportunity for participants to run an ultra-fast 42km. Traverse a range of landscapes from vast pine forests, rolling hills of agricultural farmland, creeks, and lake foreshores with the P2P offering unmatched scenery of the Upper Murray and Lake Hume regions.

A distance to suit all runners! From dedicated marathon runners travelling intra or interstate to participate, to young local children - the day will involve running races of numerous distances.

Entries will open up across four different length options, with staggered start times and include a marathon (42km), half marathon (21km), the ten-k-er (10km), and junior race (3km) for 12 years and below.

Save the date and watch this space for the registration launch of the P2P. Coming soon!

Does not cater for people with access needs.
