Tambar Springs War Memorial
The war memorial stands in the middle of Memorial Park, Tambar Springs.
The memorial is said to be the earliest memorial erected in country Australia to World War I Servicemen. The memorial includes an obelisk of Italian marble surmounted by a marble sculpture of a young soldier, with downcast eyes and resting easy. Local history states that 92 servicemen and the highest number of servicemen per capita from the small rural village of Tambar Springs and district answered the patriotic call.
