Bicentennial Creative Arts Centre
Overview
The Bicentennial Creative Arts Centre is located within Gunnedah's Cultural Precinct complex, which incorporates the heritage-listed Town Hall, The Civic Cinema/Theatre and Smithurst Theatre.
The Bicentennial Creative Arts Centre features two galleries managed by Gunnedah Shire Council and Arts Gunnedah, featuring monthly art exhibits from local and regional artists. It is also the home of the Gunnedah Community Art Collection. There is also an art studio space and a meeting room as well as the Visitor Information Centre.
The overarching theme of the precinct is "water", featuring a trilogy of stunning artworks around the theme; the Rainbow Water Feature outside, the Two Rivers Mosaic Mural in the VIC and the Red River Gum mural at the coffee break corner courtyard. Try to find all the little details in the artwork!
Ask the friendly VIC staff to give you a guided tour of the building!
