Ungarie is located 42 kilometres northwest of West Wyalong on the way to Lake Cargelligo, approximately 75 kilometres to the north-west. It is a small rural town that supports a large farming community and is home to the Biggest Football in Australia. The “Big Football” was installed as an everlasting tribute to Ungarie icons and the AFL’s most famous footballing family—the Danihers.

The Humbug Creek flows through town and provides a picturesque picnic spot for travellers. Stop by and enjoy the country atmosphere. The dump point can be found at the Ungarie Showground. The Majestic Cafe has great coffee and other supplies.

Stop at the War Murals, painted by muralist Simon White. 50 murals depict all wars and conflicts that Australia has been part of as well as a rotating Globe showing these conflicts.

Ungarie's annual show is held in September.
