Join artist and environmental education officer Christina Reid for a fun and creative workshop inspired by one very special tree.

They'll begin with a walk through the Gallery, where students will explore Linda Dening's exhibition "Staying With The Trouble: Regeneration." Here, they'll learn about Linda's deep connection to an ancient kurrajong tree that features in her work.

Next, head out to the lagoon to visit a magnificent 200-year-old red river gum. Christina will share the many ways this tree supports birds, animals, and even the hidden life in the lagoon and beneath the soil.

Students will use paint, printmaking, and collage to create their own artistic tribute to this remarkable tree.
