Located next to the St Mel's Roman Catholic Church in Audley Street you will find a late Victorian-style residence with a large encircling verandah.
This was the residence of Father Patrick Hartigan, who was the the Parish Priest for 27 years and wrote well-known bush poetry under the pen name 'John O'Brien'.
Tours of part of the residence can be taken by prior arrangement with the Parish Office.
