Cocktails in the Yard
Overview
Step into the Riverina's wool-growing history at one of its grandest shearing sheds. The historic Toganmain Woolshed Precinct — set on the Murrumbidgee River between Darlington Point and Carrathool — opens for a full day and evening of heritage, food and live music.
The Open Day welcomes all ages with guided shed tours, market stalls, historical displays and refreshments. As the sun sets, the precinct transforms for Cocktails in the Yard, an 18+ evening of cocktails, canapés and relaxed communal dining across the newly uncovered forcing yards and inside the woolshed itself, with live music from local act Velvet Sessions.
The event draws its spirit from the shearing "cutout" — the moment the work finished and the celebration began — reimagining that outback tradition for a memorable night under the stars. Tickets are limited, and a courtesy bus runs from Coleambally via Darlington Point. Every booking helps conserve this living piece of Australia's pastoral history.
