North Bundy Station Stay
Overview
North Bundy is a 12,000-hectare working sheep station in Booroorban in the western Riverina (about a 75km drive southwest of Hay) that’s been in the hands of the McCrabb family for three generations.
You can experience life on the land with a farmstay on the property, where hosts Peter and Lisa McCrabb will offer you a very friendly country welcome – and fabulously good country food.
Accommodation is in the revamped Shearers’ Quarters, full of country comfort and homely touches, and comprises one double room and five twin rooms (sleeping up to 12 guests).
The nightly tariff includes breakfast and dinner: the latter is likely to include home-reared saltbush lamb and rangeland beef, with plenty of fresh local vegetables, and a classic country dessert. Seconds are most definitely encouraged.
Due to the hot conditions in summer, there’s only limited availability from December through to March.
Make sure you include a visit to the historic Royal Mail pub at Booroorban while you’re there
