Cootamundra Cup

The Cootamundra Cup is one of the Riverina's premier country racing events and a highlight on the regional sporting and social calendar.

Hosted by the Cootamundra Turf Club, the 2026 Cup brings together racing enthusiasts, locals, and visitors for a fantastic day of country hospitality and entertainment. The feature race is the 1600-metre Cootamundra Cup, complemented by a full TAB meeting, bookmakers, Fashions on the Field, delicious food, refreshments, and a vibrant social atmosphere.

The 2026 event will be especially significant as it marks the 150th anniversary of the Cootamundra Turf Club, celebrating a proud racing history that began in 1876. As one of the oldest country racing clubs in New South Wales, the club has played an important role in the sporting and social life of the region for a century and a half. The sesquicentenary celebrations will honour generations of members, volunteers, jockeys, trainers, owners, and supporters who have contributed to the club's enduring legacy.
