The small town of Wallendbeen is surrounded by some of the richest and most picturesque farming country in the whole of Australia. A centre of enterprise, tradition and leadership, the town has a strong sense of community.

The town oval is home to a cricket club that has fielded a local team since 1887 and hosts a variety of local and regional sporting events. Just to the north of Wallendbeen is Yandilla Mustard Seed Oil processing plant. At the heart of the village is the historic Wallendbeen Hotel, standing tall greeting visitors, the view upstairs of the village is great and provides a very humble and relaxing atmosphere.

The town is home to boutique heritage pig farmer Ali Betts and her Muddy Pigs Pastured Pork farm.
