Migurra Reserve
Overview
Migurra Reserve is a peaceful natural reserve located approximately 15 kilometres south of Cootamundra on the Olympic Highway. Covering around 20 hectares, the reserve protects a rare remnant of Box-Ironbark woodland, providing visitors with a glimpse of the native landscape that once covered much of the region before European settlement.
A 750-metre loop walking track winds through the reserve, where interpretive signs explain the area's unique plants, soils, and ecology. The woodland is home to more than 70 native plant species, including acacias, lilies, everlasting daisies, and native grasses, making it especially attractive during spring when many wildflowers are in bloom.
