Overview
A community hub for the sports clubs of Oaklands for decades, the land for the Oaklands Recreation Reserve was surveyed in 1911. The area has since been developed into a large area where most sports can be played. The football oval is the centrepiece, with visitors entering through the brick entrance to find a ticket office on one side and the netball courts on the other.
The Recreation Reserve also boasts a cricket pitch and six fenced tennis courts.
Large change room facilities, a tea pavilion and barbecue area add to the comfort of guests.
