Michelago Railway Heritage Open Day & Market

As part of the Australian Heritage Festival, the Michelago community invites you to a charming Market and Open Day at the historic Michelago Railway Station.

Browse over 25 unique stalls featuring handcrafted goods, art, collectibles, plants, and fresh local produce—perfect for finding a special Mother's Day gift. Enjoy a delicious range of refreshments, including a classic barbecue by the Michelago Rural Fire Brigade, sweet treats from the School P&C cake stall, and fresh brews from the Johnoz coffee van.

Step back in time with 'Tales and Tours', discover the story of the railway's arrival in 1887 and how it transformed the village of Michelago. Learn how the station narrowly escaped demolition and witness the passionate efforts to preserve this treasured piece of local heritage.

The day will also feature live entertainment from the Michelago Community Choir, along with horse and carriage rides offered by Kiandra Clydesdales.
