Thea Rossen In Concert

Prepare for an evening of rhythm, energy and musical surprises as acclaimed percussionist Thea Rossen takes centre stage alongside musicians from across the Orange Regional Conservatorium community.

Based in Perth, Thea is one of Australia's leading percussionists and an imaginative performer, collaborator and educator. Her work has taken her across the country, including performances and education programs with major state orchestras and Musica Viva. In 2026, she has joined the ORC as our Musica Viva Artist in Residence.

This special Friday night concert will showcase the extraordinary variety of percussion, from captivating solo works to dynamic duos and chamber music performed with ORC staff. Audiences can expect an exciting mix of sounds, instruments and musical styles, demonstrating that percussion can whisper, sing, shimmer and thunder.

The concert will also feature performances by the ORC Chamber Academy and the newly formed ORC Junior Percussion Ensemble, giving our young musicians the opportunity to share the stage with an artist of Thea's national standing.
