Goulburn Picnic Train

Hop aboard for a steam-hauled Picnic Train day journey to Goulburn, where the annual Goulburn Model Expo & Goulburn Heritage Roundhouse have events on Saturday and Sunday with shuttle buses from the station, or head into town to explore one of the many cafes and restaurants on offer.

On Saturday, one of their heritage diesels will haul the train from Sydney Central Station to Enfield Yard, where their mighty steam locomotive R766 will take over. ​Experience the excitement of a steam train trip behind locomotive R766 from Enfield to Goulburn. Sit back and relax as you travel through the beautiful Southern Highlands. Upon arrival at Goulburn, you will have plenty of time for lunch or to go and visit the Goulburn model expo or Goulburn Roundhouse. Steam Locomotive R766 will remain in Goulburn, and their heritage diesels will whisk you back to Sydney.

On Sunday, their heritage diesels will whisk you down the express to Goulburn. Sit back and relax as you travel through the beautiful Southern Highlands. Upon arrival at Goulburn, you will have plenty of time for lunch or to go and visit the Goulburn model expo or Goulburn Roundhouse (tickets purchased separately, see below). On the return Journey, Steam Locomotive R766 will be attached to lead the train to Sydney. Perfect for the whole family and groups alike.
