Crystal Brook Gardens Halloween Fright Night Special
Saturday 31 October 2020
Crystal Brook Gardens and Lavender Farm presents a Halloween Fright Night Special Celebration. Halloween dates back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. It was an occasion when Celtic people lit massive bonfires and dressed up in fearsome costumes to drive away ghosts and evil spirits, which were believed to be particularly active on this night, which in Europe marks the end of the warmer months and the start of the cold, dark, bleak winter months.
In tribute to the ancient history of Halloween and the the overall theme of light triumphing over darkness, our Special Celebration focuses on the magic of lanterns and light. Children are strongly encouraged to bring their own hand-made pumpkin Jack O' Lanterns or handmade Paper Lanterns. There will be prizes for the best lanterns and for the best Halloween costumes on the night. It's going to be simply spooktacular!
Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)
