Exhibit 'McCue and Mackay Kindred Spirits 2' by Kathleen McCue and Cathy Mackay

Local Grenfell artist Kathleen McCue is renowned for her vibrant oversized floral paintings, expressive sculptures and diverse artistic practice. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Weddin region, she works across painting, photography, collage and welded steel sculpture, finding endless inspiration in flowers, landscapes and reclaimed materials. An accomplished artist and dedicated community mentor, Kathleen has spent many years sharing her knowledge through local art classes, encouraging others to discover the joy and wellbeing that creativity can bring.

Joining her is Cath Mackay, a South Coast artist whose work reflects a lifelong fascination with nature and meticulous observation of plants and wildlife. With a background in education and formal training in Fine Arts Drawing, Cath works across watercolour, ink, mixed media, photography, textiles and mosaics. Her intricate, detail-rich works celebrate the beauty of the natural world and the many forms artistic expression can take.

Having first met in 2019, Kathleen and Cath discovered an immediate creative connection, leading to their first collaborative exhibition, McCue & Mackay: Kindred Spirits, in 2020. We invite you to experience their latest collection, where two distinctive artistic voices come together through a shared appreciation of nature, creativity and lifelong learning.
