They consider ourselves the current custodians of “Paradise” a name given to the property by the original owners; the Murray family who commissioned the building dating back to 1883. It is set on a generous 2500 square metre block with lawns and well-maintained gardens.

They continually invest maintaining and updating the home which is a long-term exercise. One central objective is to make the home as environmentally friendly as possible.

In 2021 we installed solar panels and two Tesla Powerwalls to use our own power and possibly become a net producer of electricity. Their latest project in 2022 was to install a large rain water tank to collect and re-use water.

A home for all seasons, Paradise offers guests a wonderful opportunity to stay in one of Cowra’s most historic homes ideally positioned between Cowra town centre and The Japanese Gardens.

This home is deceptively large being spread over three levels; the heart and soul of this home revolves on the ground floor living room that benefits from high ceilings and connects to the kitchen by way of a hatch so conversation can flow. This level of the home is partially subterranean which means it stays cooler in the heat of summer but snug with the wood burner in winter.

It's a great space for conversation, long lunches, to relax and unwind.

Does not cater for people with access needs.
