The heritage lands are a community led, Crown Land management project. Aiming to protect native bush land and historic gold mining sites while providing recreation space to the community and visitors to the area.

Visitors looking to camp can expect flat areas to set up camp, access to toilets and barbeque and picnic areas. Camping cost $5 per night and can be paid at the honesty Boxes on site.

The area is also a historic site with several old mine shafts dating back to the days of the gold rush, while the mine shafts are fenced off visitors should be aware of them when visiting. To make the most of the heritage lands visitors can set out on the Buurree walking trail to explore the area.

Does not cater for people with access needs.
