Tilligerry Habitat
Überblick
Tilligerry Habitat ist ein neun Hektar großes Naturschutzgebiet in der Tanilba Bay an der Küste des malerischen Port Stephens. Hier können Besucher Koalas und andere Wildtiere beobachten und die einheimische Pflanzenzucht entdecken. Das Besucherzentrum, ein umweltfreundliches Strohballengebäude, heißt Sie herzlich willkommen und bietet interaktive Ausstellungen sowie einen Souvenirladen. In der hauseigenen Gärtnerei werden einheimische Pflanzen und Gartenpflanzen verkauft.
Über ein Netz von Wegen und Stegen erkunden Sie die vielfältige Landschaft mit Wäldern, Buschland, Feuchtgebieten und Küstenabschnitten. Direkt neben dem Besucherzentrum befindet sich ein barrierefreier Picknickplatz. Ein einfacher, zwei Kilometer langer Spaziergang auf ebenen Kieswegen und Stegen bietet Ihnen die Möglichkeit, einheimische Pflanzen, Vögel und mit etwas Glück sogar einen Koala in freier Wildbahn zu beobachten.
