Überblick
Tocal Homestead besitzt eine der schönsten Sammlungen kolonialer Bauernhäuser aus den 1830er Jahren in Australien.
Das Homestead liegt zwischen prächtigen Feigenbäumen und bietet Ausblick auf die Tocal-Lagune und den dahinter liegenden Paterson River. Das Haus wurde 1840 als Landsitz für Felix Wilson erbaut und ist nur eines der faszinierenden Gebäude an diesem Ort, das die Veränderungen der Landnutzung in Tocal seit 1822 veranschaulicht.
Farmführungen bieten die Möglichkeit, dieses wunderschöne Anwesen kennenzulernen. Die Führung umfasst die Rinder-, Pferde-, Milch- und Schafzucht sowie die natürlichen Merkmale der historischen Landschaft. Tocal ist ein bewirtschafteter Bauernhof, sodass Besucher die saisonalen Aktivitäten des Bauernhofbetriebs beobachten können.
Die historische Stätte ist von März bis November sonntags geöffnet.
