Überblick
Tocal Homestead beherbergt eine der schönsten Sammlungen kolonialer Bauernhäuser aus Australien, die aus den 1830er Jahren stammen.
Das Anwesen liegt inmitten prächtiger Feigenbäume und bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf die Tocal-Lagune und den dahinterliegenden Paterson River. Das 1840 als Landsitz für Felix Wilson erbaute Haus ist nur eines der faszinierenden Gebäude auf diesem Gelände, das die Veränderungen in der Landnutzung von Tocal seit 1822 veranschaulicht.
Im Rahmen von Hofführungen können Besucher dieses wunderschöne Anwesen kennenlernen. Die Tour umfasst die Rinder-, Pferde-, Milch- und Schafzucht sowie die natürlichen Besonderheiten der historischen Landschaft. Tocal ist ein aktiver Bauernhof, sodass Besucher die saisonalen Arbeiten der Landwirtschaft beobachten können.
Das historische Gelände ist jeden Sonntag geöffnet.
