Ciao, Mate!

A classic, compact Italian diner in the heart of Bangalow village. Acclaimed zero-waste chef Matt Stone is in the kitchen and the menu focuses on local, sustainable ingredients sourced from the surrounding Northern Rivers. The menu is tiny and changes regularly, but you always find woodfired pizza, a couple of pastas, a salad, and snacks like anchovy toast, charcuterie and flatbreads.

The intimate restaurant has a neighbourhood feel and you’ll see Bangalow locals enjoying a cocktail at the bar or a family meal in one of the cosy booths. The covered courtyard is the place to be on balmy summer nights.
