The hotel's story goes back to the 1860s, when it opened as the Cricketers Arms on the banks of the Paterson River. After the river flooded in 1875, the building was taken down and rebuilt on higher ground beside the village's court house. It reopened as the Court House Hotel in 1876, a two-storey brick pub with stables for travellers' horses. Today it sits among Paterson's heritage streetscape, close to the historic Court House, now a local museum.
The kitchen serves hearty counter-style meals, and the bar offers a good selection of beer alongside cocktails. Outdoor seating makes it easy to settle in on a sunny afternoon, while inside the pub is a comfortable spot to catch the sport.
The hotel regularly hosts trivia nights, karaoke, live music and other live performances. Group bookings are welcome by reservation.
Free on-site parking is available, with additional free street parking nearby.
