Overview
Soak up the stunning Griffith weather and take a stroll along the picturesque main canal – the life blood of the city.
The main canal feeds from the Murrumbidgee River diverting 6,600 megalitres per day to the surrounding farms.
Walter Burley Griffin, in his plans for Griffith, envisaged parkland along the main irrigation canal and this has come to fruition with the development of the Burley Griffin Community Gardens, City Park and the Centenary Walk.
