Hey, my name is Jacob and I’m coming to you from Newcastle. I first became interested in photography as a young teen, when I got my hands on a DSLR. I quickly became attracted to the challenges and rewards of landscape photography.
Weekend family road trips all around New South Wales were a common occurrence all through my teen years. I’ve been lucky enough to explore many corners of NSW; from the Blue Mountains, to the south coast, to the gorgeous coastline of Port Stephens.
However undoubtedly my favourite place to explore and to photograph is my hometown of Newcastle. Since finishing school five years ago I’ve regularly explored what feels like every inch of coastline from Nobbys Head to Catherine Hill Bay and the Lake Munmorah State Recreation Park. Being able to capture a small glimpse of my explorations and experiences in this wonderful city to share with others is an absolute honour, and one I hope to be able to continue for many years to come.
