When I was a teenager, I was the one always carrying a camera but it was nothing serious. Four years ago, I moved to a special little pocket in the Tweed region with my car and two dogs from Perth, it didn’t take long for me to realise how stunning this part of the country is. The area I moved to was a short walk to a secluded spot that felt so far away from everything.
I bought my first real camera around two years ago and started off photographing birds before developing a passion for photographing sunrises and sunsets. During those two years, not once did I have another photographer stand next to me. As someone who likes their own space while shooting, I felt extremely lucky to witness some of the most magical moments with just my two dogs next to me.
Some of my favourite spots to photograph are Fingal Head, Tweed River, Kingscliff beaches and waterfalls near Byron Bay. So before you book your next holiday overseas, you should consider exploring the Tweed region and northern rivers of NSW instead.
