Celebrate NAIDOC Week and experience traditional Aboriginal culture in Yuin Country on the NSW South Coast with a Gulaga Creation tour.
NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee) Week is held in the first week of July and celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures past and present.
Immerse yourself in Aboriginal culture with the two-night Gulaga Creation tour in Narooma on the NSW South Coast.
Gulaga Mountain and the Creation Dreaming have held sacred significance for Yuin Aboriginal people for tens of thousands of years, yet these stories are not widely known. The Gulaga Creation tours are guided by traditional custodians, and the stories they share have been passed down through generations.
Enjoy a fully-guided tour of Gulaga Mountain and discover ancestral sites as you walk through the picturesque countryside and rainforest. The cultural immersion experience also includes traditional Aboriginal ceremonies, dance and didgeridoo performances, in which visitors are invited to take part in. All meals and accommodation are also included.
Tours depart once a month – the next tour will be held from 18 – 20 July – with group bookings at other times available on request.
