The stuff of legends: Our Boggy Creek Shows are a great way to learn about the life of mountain cattlemen plus have fun. There’s cattle mustering, sheep handling, working dogs, shearing, pack horses, whip cracking and horsemanship.

Local history: The Pioneer Women’s Hut has displays of everyday domestic life, including an outstanding collection of craftwork and household artefacts. It reminds you of the hardships and ingenuity of our early settlers.

The local drop: If you really want to taste the local wines in a beautiful setting, head to Courabyra Wines or Tumbarumba Wines Escape which serves traditional Italian-style pizzas and platters.

Pick your own: In the summertime, taste the unbelievable sweetness of fresh blueberries at Jolly Berries, a family-owned blueberry farm in Tumbarumba.

Trail rides: The Snowy Mountains is just about perfect for touring by motorbike or card. There are scenic routes of different lengths but you’ll always enjoy country hospitality at local pubs along the way.

Best picnic spot: Paddys River Falls is a really pretty spot for a picnic. Enjoy an easy walk afterwards by following the 2.5km bush track that winds upstream along the river to Paddys River Flats camping reserve.

Local bushwalk: Setting foot on Sugar Pine Walk in Bago Forest is like walking into a natural cathedral with pine needles carpeting the ground. You’ll be amazed by the tranquillity.

360 alpine views: Located just 5km uphill from Tooma is the Southern Cloud Memorial Scenic Lookout. From here you can see the mountain ranges where the Southern Cloud aircraft disappeared in 1931.

A warm country welcome: Come along to one of our shows or an event such as the Tumbarumba Rodeo, Tumbafest or Tumbarumba Tastebuds. It’s a great way to meet the locals and have plenty of fun.

Man from Snowy River rides: Ride on horseback in beautiful Bago State Forest, see wild brumbies and the unique flora and fauna.
