The 16 qualifying teams from Asia will meet in Sydney and Newcastle during January 2015 to compete for the AFC Asian Cup, the most sought-after trophy in Asian football.

Sydney is to host seven games at Stadium Australia including the Socceroos’ all-important clash with Oman on 13 January. Sydney will also host a quarter final, a semi-final on Australia Day and the grand final match on 31 January. Watch Uzbekistan play a qualifying match against Korea DPR on 10 January, and see Qatar play Iran on 15 January before facing Bahrain on 19 January. Sydney Trains operate regular services to Olympic Park Station which is a short walking distance away from Stadium Australia.
Newcastle will host four games at Newcastle Stadium, including Japan’s opening match of the tournament and a semi-final. In the group qualification stages, Japan will play Palestine on 12 January, and Oman will play Kuwait in group on 17 January. On-site parking is available at Newcastle Stadium with pre-paid tickets costing $10 + transaction fee. Bus and train routes stop within 1.5km of the stadium.
