Sandboarding + 2.5hr Whale Watch

Two of Port Stephens' great adventures in one package, on the water and on the sand.

Head out from Nelson Bay on a 2.5 hour whale watching cruise with Moonshadow-TQC Cruises. Travel along the Port Stephens coastline with expert commentary and spacious viewing areas, and keep watch for migrating humpback whales as they breach, tail slap and glide through the water. Dolphins and other marine life may join the show during the season. If no whales are sighted, stand by vouchers may be issued at the crew's discretion, conditions apply.

Then swap the sea for the sand. Ride a 4WD across the shifting dunes of the Worimi Conservation Lands, learn safe sandboarding techniques from friendly guides and enjoy multiple runs down the slopes, with views where the dunes meet the sea.

You can do both experiences on the same day or spread them over two days. All ages are welcome, making it a great fit for couples, families and visitors who want to make the most of their time in Port Stephens.
