Guide, Phil Rouvray, will provide a brief interpretation of the history, geology, flora and fauna of the area. The summit (630 metres) provides panoramic views of Lake Hume, The Snowy Mountains, rock formations and the surrounding countryside.

The walk is suitable for school-aged children and above. Moderate fitness and mobility are required. The walk is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems, heart trouble, or respiratory problems.

Walkers need to bring enclosed footwear with a good grip (most runners would be adequate), hat and sunscreen, water bottle, and a snack to nibble on during the walk.
