Meadow Platter with Helen Cattell
Overview
Create your own hand-built ceramic platter in the first workshop of our Whispers of Wildflowers series with the Visual Arts Society Yass. Explore textures, floral patterns to make a beautiful, nature-inspired piece. Perfect for beginners and returning makers alike.
This hands-on class guides you through creating a hand-built ceramic platter inspired by the soft textures, subtle patterns, and fleeting beauty of wildflowers and meadows.
You'll shape your platter on a form, explore gentle curves, and press floral textures into the clay. Once complete, your platter will be bisque fired, finished with your choice of a glossy glaze, and glaze fired to create a durable, functional piece you can enjoy every day or display.
This workshop provides a relaxed, creative space to connect with clay, nature, and your fellow participants, celebrating the quiet, mindful joy of making.
Morning tea provided.
