Overview
The Bland Shire Council has converted its upstairs foyer into an open art gallery, allowing local and regional artists to display their work every day of the week.
Artists are encouraged to submit pieces that are at least A4 size and no larger than 600mm by 1000mm. Submissions should be either framed or on stretch canvas, ready for hanging. For those interested in displaying and selling their artwork, more information can be obtained by calling the provided number or visiting the Council's Shire Street offices.
To further support the local arts community, exhibited items are available for sale at prices set by the artists. These items will be released to buyers at the end of each exhibition or upon special request. Future exhibitions are planned to continue.
The open art gallery is accessible to the public seven days a week during the normal operating hours of the Bland Shire Visitor Information Centre. It can be accessed via the staircase in the Council foyer during weekdays or by the lift on weekends.
