The documentary follows the rise of the art-school band, whose irreverent humour, visual art and clever pop songs propelled them from playing inner-city Sydney pubs to becoming a nationally- loved band whose music continues to resonate today.

Arrive for a drink at the bar before the movie and enjoy a live set of classic 80s pub-rock tunes from local troubadour Dean Weston.

Dean Weston is a rock and country music artist and a seasoned live performer. As well as recording and playing his own music, Dean well versed in the 80s Aussie pub rock classics that we all know and love, including songs from Mental as Anything.

Film is rated M - recommended for ages 16 plus.
