The Canobolas Endurance Riders Club will host the Matar and Bullio NSW State Championships and the Matar and Bullio Cup 120km Elevator Ride at Four Mile Creek in Cabonne.

This major endurance horse riding event will bring together riders, horses and supporters from across Australia and overseas. The State Championship course will cover 160km in a single day, while the Elevator Ride covers 120km with the option for competitors to withdraw at 100km. Both events include rigorous veterinary inspections, making the welfare of horses a central focus.

The course winds through Canobolas State Forest, Newcrest land and private farms, offering rare access to landscapes usually closed to the public. The event has grown quickly since it was first staged in 2018, drawing riders from every state and several countries, and is now regarded as one of the most significant endurance rides in Australia.

Visitors are encouraged to explore nearby towns and villages while attending, with Cabonne's wine, food and history adding to the experience. The event promises an exciting weekend for competitors and a memorable showcase of the Cabonne region.
