Akuna Estate

Akuna Estate is a luxury glamping retreat set in the picturesque area of Running Stream, New South Wales, just two and a half hours from Sydney, 45 minutes from the iconic Blue Mountains and 30 minutes from the celebrated Mudgee wine region.

Set on Wiradjuri land, the estate features three beautifully appointed luxury tents, Kangaroo, Wallaby and Wombat, each offering a private, adults-only escape for two. Positioned at least 100 metres apart, the tents ensure complete seclusion for every guest. Australian-made from eco-friendly materials, the tents are designed for year-round comfort with woodburning fireplaces, gas heating, electric blankets, ceiling fans and triple-layered roofs. Each tent features a private ensuite with rainhead shower, a fully equipped kitchen, leather sofa, and a generous deck with outdoor bath.

A standout feature of the estate is the handcrafted timber decking, milled by hand from trees on the property damaged in the 2019 bushfires — a lasting tribute to resilience and renewal.

Complimentary inclusions are a bottle of local wine, breakfast provisions and Starlink WiFi. Optional extras include cook-your-own BBQ dinner packs and charcuterie and cheese boards.
