The Wandering Table: Stories After Dark - Opening Night

Be among the first to experience the opening night of the inaugural Wandering Table: Stories After Dark - an immersive dining experience that weaves together exceptional food and wine, rich storytelling, and a deep sense of place.

Designed as an intimate experience, this carefully curated event invites guests to wander through Bathurst's historic heart, uncovering the fascinating hidden stories that have shaped one of Australia's oldest inland cities, whilst dining in some of Bathurst's most celebrated and unique bars and restaurants.

The evening begins at Kings Parade with a Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony and Wiradjuri cultural storytelling, acknowledging the enduring culture and traditions of the Wiradjuri people.

From there, guests will be guided into three intimate groups, each commencing their journey at a different venue: Norma Joan, Firewater or The George. Throughout the evening, each group will experience all three venues, enjoying one course at each while wandering through Bathurst's atmospheric streets and hidden laneways. Along the way, local storytellers will reveal colourful characters, forgotten moments, and intriguing chapters from Bathurst's rich history.

Each course is complemented by a premium beverage from local producers, with venue transformed into their own unique BX After Dark experience, featuring themed styling and a distinctive atmosphere of light, music, and warm hospitality.
