The Edible Garden Trail is a celebration of the myriad ways Blue Mountains residents are creating food security, saving money and supporting the environment, while enjoying the health benefits of home-grown fruit and veg.

Over a weekend each year, backyard growers, large and small, from up and down the Blue Mountains open their gardens to the public to share their passion and knowledge and inspire environmental sustainability.

Excitingly, the 2026 Trail is the first to be themed! This year, gardens will be focusing specifically on 'containers and challenging spaces' to highlight the wide range of opportunities to grow food and the the innovative ways edible gardeners beat the odds.

This is a community run, not-for-profit event organised by The Blue Mountains Food Co-op, with proceeds going to participating schools and community gardens.
