The Swamp

The Swamp is eight acres of mostly white gums, not far from town, crowded with kangaroos and birds in a wide variety. Listen to the magpies' neighbourhood meetings.

You'll need to be self-sufficient and have short-term stays only. There's a dam and there's usually peace and quiet. Occasionally this is broken by the Motorkhana throwing donuts in classic cars on the skid pan next door.

Special rates are available for these times, which occur only every few weeks, and last only a few hours. On clear nights, the Milky Way is splashed across the sky in majestic panorama.
